There really must be a # for how much I love cashmere. Lets call it #lucylovescashmere. I really
do.
There is something about wearing cashmere that makes me feel confident, a little sassy and just ready to take on whatever is in store for me that day.
The luxurious feel, the many different variety of styles, and more recently the array of different colours makes wearing cashmere even more appealing!
What I love about cashmere is how it instantly elevates your outfit, makes the take on wearing knitwear that little more polished, it really is something that I love buying and even more love wearing.
Lets talk best places to buy Cashmere.
John Lewis
Each year at Christmas time John Lewis really does pull out all the stops on their Cashmere and this year is no exception. They have a whole range of different colours and one of their stand out pieces is the highlighter pink jumper! (the one that was featured in our Instagram live story which you can view via our link…..)
‘Sophisticated, ethically made and offering value for money, this is cashmere at its most exciting’
Alison Taylor-Fashion Editor
The cashmere at John Lewis comes in a variety of different styles ranging from, rollnecks, crewnecks, cable knit styles, cardigans and this is all before we talk hats, gloves and socks!
Since cashmere is such a lightweight fabric its great for layering under leather jackets and boyfriend blazers.
The key to keeping your cashmere in perfect condition for years to come lies in how you look after it
I would always say especially with investment pieces, look after it and you will have it for years, take care of these pieces and they will really stand the test of time.
How to wash cashmere..
A lot of cashmere is now machine washable (Always check the label)
Always wash on a 30 or cooler
Never use fabric conditioner as this will soften the fibres that will eventually snap
Squeeze the water out, never wring it
reshape your cashmere whilst damp
Always dry flat on a towel (never on a radiator)
Remember more details on how to care for your cashmere can be found in your aftercare and upkeep manual which comes with every detox booking.
White Company
Who doesn't love the White Company?! I especially love The White company for their loungewear
and their cashmere ( A friend bought me cashmere socks from The White Company a couple of years ago and I literally squealed with excitement, such a perfect gift!)
I love the collection of cashmere at The White Company and I especially love their colour palette. As with everything at The White Company their colour palette is very much the nudes and neutrals and this palette is definitely the palette I give a nod too.
They have some perfect pieces for Christmas this year too, who doesn't love a little sparkle at christmas?
This would be perfect for Christmas day with the family or if you were having a more chilled NYE.
Their cashmere feels so indulgent and luxurious, therefore great for the gift buying season. They also wrap their cashmere so beautifully too, I always think its the little touches that make The White Company what it is.
I have fallen head over heels in love with this jumper,
I absolutely love the colour and the simplicity, whats fab about this colour is how transitional it is, perfect for now with a leather trouser, however this would look great with a white skinny for Spring 2022.
(We will discuss in a post later on, how everyone can wear white jeans!)
COS
I absolutely love COS and its definitely one of my go to shops when I want something new! I was introduced to their cashmere at the beginning of November when I visited the store on the hunt for an oversized white shirt. Well, what can I say as with the aesthetic of the brand COS cashmere has a very clean and minimal style to it, pieces to easily layer, one of my favourite pieces of the collection is the Turtleneck cashmere collar. l spotted this and then purchased it to wear over the said white shirt!
COS also sells cashmere detergent which is perfect for when washing your cashmere as some regular washing powders can be too harsh.
There collection consists of many different styles and shades of jumper, hats, scarfs and gloves, they also have menswear cashmere too. I also bought a cashmere comb whilst I was in store too. Something so simple really does make your cashmere look and feel its best.
