Lucy's favourite revitalising masks

I often get ask about my skincare regime from my clients and it is a subject that I am obsessed about. Having well looked after skin is really important to me and its part of my beauty regime that I am very passionate about.

We are coming to the time of year where the nights will be drawing in, the heating will be cranked up and your face will be exposed to various weather conditions, especially in London, all of these attributes will in some way affect the look and feel of your skin.

One of my weekly treats to myself is applying a good dollop of a face mask whilst relaxing in a bubble bath (with a candle burning for sure!)

There are so many face masks to chose from too! The first question you need to ask yourself when choosing a face mask is ‘What do you want it to do’? Do you want it to contain Cyclonic acid? Retinol? Pore minimisers? Anti ageing ingredients? Whatever you decide there will be a mask suitable for you out there, places like Space NK are great when you want an unbiased view on what face mask is right for you.

La Mer - the intensive revitalising mask.

Having tried many on the market I have to say hands down this La Mer ‘the intensive revitalising mask’ is one of my favourites. Luxurious, nourishing and it contains their famous Miracle Broth(it also smells amazing, very important to me when choosing a mask!)

This revitalizing mask re-energises, plumps and protects, instantly infusing skin with vibrancy. In just 8 minutes, skin looks healthy and refreshed – glowing from within. This mask also contains anti ageing properties too! Great to help my fine lines around my eyes!

‘La Mer is definitely a premium beauty and skincare brand, the product and of course the packaging screams luxury, you really are getting what you pay for. Being more on the £££ side of the market, I would highly recommend going to speak to the consultants who work on the counter, they will be able to recommend and suggest products and regimes that will best suit your skin. The girls in John Lewis White City are fab!

The Elemis resurfacing mask

I have been a fan of Elemis for many years now, when I was a Stylist in Nottingham I used to treat myself to a Elemis facial every six weeks at the Elemis counter in John Lewis. I will be forever be a fan on their products. I am currently using their Sharp S

hower shower gel in the morning and their Lavender toner is great too! My Sister bought me this gel mask for Christmas and I have been using it between once or twice a week (As the Elemis website recommends) I seriously can’t get enough of it! The gel like consistency smells like papaya too, as previously mentioned the smell of masks is really important to me. I would suggest between 3-4 pumps and apply to clean cleansed skin, leave on between 8-10 mins.( you will begin to feel a warm tingle and then it feels a lot cooler, its mad! ) and then just remove with a flannel and warm water. I really have been enjoying this gel mask and it will be definitely something I will repurchase, after using it I really did notice a difference with the texture and appearance of my skin, there was also a noticeable radiance and glow! Once I get into the habit of using a face mask i really do make it a priority to include it in my skincare routine. Priced at £42 a bottle it is in the more premium categories of face mask but having used it for a while now and having seen results, I think that it is worth it!

Liz Earle - Superskin overnight mask

I have loved Liz Earle ever since my Mum introduced me to the brand many years ago! I was also very lucky to work with the brand whilst on a PR placement when I was still at University! I can honestly say the hype around Liz Earl is all true. A well trusted brand that delivers in all aspects of skincare, the cleanse and polish cleanser is hands down one of the best on the market!

This overnight mask has an anti-ageing formula, which who doesn’t needs?! Not only anti-ageing its also so hydrating, your skin literally drinks it up which then leaves your skin looking visibly brighter, plumper, smoother and firmer. I love how my face feels the morning after applying this mask, its like I have had a facial. I have combination skin but I think this mask would also be brilliant for dry skin needing a little TLC. Priced at £42 a little really does go a long away. The ladies on the Liz Earle counter are always so friendly, so I would definitely pop in and see them about this mask and whilst you are there grab yourself a bottle of cleanse and polish!
